Flute Repair Services
Flute, piccolo, alto, bass, contra-bass, Irish, baroque.... If it looks like a flute, we can service it.
All repairs are completed in-house by certified technician,
Jonathan Hein, who has more than twenty years experience repairing
flutes of all makes. Repairs are scheduled by appointment only to ensure
that you are without your instrument for the shortest amount of time.
We are happy to accommodate emergency repairs as scheduling permits.
Jonathan's workshop is Straubinger certified, and qualified to make
repairs on any brand or model flute. Repair prices do not include tax,
shipping, or transit insurance and are subject to change without notice.

Professional/Handmade Flutes:
Overhaul/Straubinger pads....$1195
● Complete dis-assembly and hand polishing;
● Major body blemishes removed (additional charges may apply);
● Mechanism swaged and reassembled with synthetic lubricant;
● Installation of Straubinger pads;
● Corks and felts replaced.
Overhaul from $995
● As above, except high quality, firm felt pads with double yellow
skins are installed in lieu of Straubinger pads.
Annual Clean, Oil and Adjust (COA) from $175
● Mechanism cleaned and oiled;
● Body cleaned;
● Pads replaced and adjusted as needed;
● Headjoint cork checked, sealed and replaced as necessary;
● Other repairs as necessary.
Professional/Handmade Piccolos:
Overhaul/Straubinger pads from $895
● Crack repairs may incur an additional charge.
● Complete dis-assembly and hand polishing;
● Wooden instruments oiled;
● Mechanism swaged and reassembled with synthetic lubricant;

Important warranty information: Jonathan Hein warranties repairs for six months from the date of completion, unless otherwise stated. This warranty covers only the repairs specified on your invoice and excludes damage caused by normal wear, accident, abuse, or neglect. No other warranties, express or implied, are made; you may have other rights as provided by law. If any problems should occur, please contact the shop immediately; we cannot be responsible once repairs are attempted by others.
